Home-a-dog in trouble

Post by beverleyDogsToday »

Sorry, thought I'd posted something yesterday about the plight of the late Anne Fowler's little rescue operation in Wales. THis was for 7th day death row dogs, only a few dogs at a time being retrained and rehomed. More than 300 saved in a few years.

Anne had terminal cancer and wanted to find someone to take it over as she got weaker. She died a couple of weeks ago and wonderful Demelda Penkitty had sold her home in Cornwall to move into Anne's caravan and was doing a great job.

But now the planning people are out to wreck everything and are disputing even the right for the static caravan to be there.

If you can help by writing an email or letter of support that would be wonderul.

It may be a place of natural beauty, but the plight of good dogs on death row being killed is a very ugly one. Surely six dogs in a farming area isn't like sighting an office block? A worker's living space isn't an eyesore in the countryside, it's a part of the rural life?

Just seems dreadful that a wonderful woman's dying wishes are being trashed - for what?

Please cross post far and wide and if you have any media connections in Wales please bring this story to their attention.

Wales seems to manage to licence puppy farms pretty well in rural areas - why not a tiny rescue?
