I jus thought I'd put a warning in case fellow Dalmatian owners or prospective owners come onto the forums. Dalmatians lack an enzyme named uricase, which breaks down proteins uric acid. Because of this, if they have too many purines in their diet, uric acids can build up in their joints and/or cause kidney stones to develop. Purines are mostly found in organ and game meat, so do not include these in their diets to reduce the likelihood of stones.
I believe there may also be a danger in feeding some dalmations oily fish. Not sure as i dont have a dally, but i know of someone who DID have a problem wtih her own dallies on another forum and that was part of the reason why.
