Urinary incontinence with certain foods

Post by Shalista »

My mom was the first person to notice it. whenever i gave bax a particular brand of bone he'd pee in the house. i thought she was crazy at first but the evidence kept mounting.

Today i gave bax a hot dog chopped into treat sized pieces while we were at the vet. within an hour of us getting home he peed three times in the house including once in his crate/room (he's peed in his crate/room maybe twice in his life)

Anyone else have any experience with certain foods just not sitting well?

I wonder if it's something like salt content causing him to drink and therefore pee more?

I've not noticed it with Jasper, but since I reached a certain age I've discovered that all sorts of foods are diuretic - mainly most berries, various other fruit, and broccoli. I've mostly made these discoveries at 1am, 3am, 5am......
