Hi, I'm new here to the forum, though not new to positive reinforcement training.

My OH and I lost our beloved 9 year old Border Collie Poppy to cancer in October 2014. It was so sudden and a massive shock to us both. We loved her so much, we don't have any kids and are not planning on any either, so she was like our baby. She was a rescue and had severe socialisation and behavioural problems from before we adopted her, aged 4. She was a little darling and such a good girl in the house. Never chewed anything that wasn't hers etc. Outside was a totally different story, she was very reactive towards other dogs, pulled like a train and had anxiety, which meant we couldn't take her many places or exercise her very well, as she couldn't come off the lead or go anywhere there might be another dog.

On Sunday this week we adopted a new BC boy called Woody. He's 12 months old and a little sweetheart, though has a lot to learn as far as house manners are concerned. He is a dream meeting other dogs outside, once we have worked on his pulling on the lead we'll be able to take him all over the place, hopefully to the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales, where we love to go walking.

Thanks for listening, I will be popping in a lot after next week (I am taking my final exams at uni, then I will be freeeeee to do all the playing with Woody I like).
