Breeders?

Post by ZaraD »

Hi all

As some of you know I am getting a Golden in the future and have been researching breeders and have come across a breeder I really like and wanted your thoughts on her?
https://www.amabeagoldenretrievers.com/puppies-2015

She asked me hundreds of questions and answered all of mine and said that it would be a tow - three year wait for her next litter as she doesn't have litters every year only when she is ready to keep a pup to add to her show dogs as she shows her dogs.

Just realised the website doesn't show health tests. So I got them from champdogs.

Sky - http://www.champdogs.co.uk/dog/44660

Bea- http://www.champdogs.co.uk/dog/35811

Idgie- http://www.champdogs.co.uk/dog/56151

Idgie is nearly tow and will be elbow and hip scored at just over tow years old. As well as other eye tests. She also feeds raw from 4 weeks old and there weaned onto natural instinct weaning paste and given chicken wings etc. She let's them go at around 9 and half - 10 weeks old, she says they do not get any vaccinations as before they come to us there still protected by the mothers milk they had when younger and so believes they should have the first vaccine at around 9-10 weeks. She then told me she's dose not believe in vaccinating after 12 months of age due to the health problems it may cause. And to no neuter until at least 2 yrs old.she extensive socialisation plan and uses CDs and even gets them use to something as simple as plastic bags to something as scary as fireworks.
