I have my doubts. Most Lakeland pups I've seen on Google seem to be really curly!
Boyfriends mum saw the litter advertised online and bought Pop from a farm in Wales for £100 *i.e. suspiciously cheap for a pedigree*
I know both parents were working terriers, used for rabbit catching mostly I think, and that Pops sister was docked to be kept for working as well. I found this info about tail docking laws:
In Wales the following can be docked.... Terriers of the following breeds: Jack Russell Terrier, Cairn Terrier, Lakeland Terrier, Norfolk Terrier, but not combinations of breeds
The breeder claimed to have pedigree papers for Pop, but boyfriends mum didn't see them, or get given them to take home.
We don't even know her date of birth, except that he said she was exactly 11 weeks old when they brought her home.
And Sasha is a Welsh terrier, and they are very similar looking breeds, but Sash was quite curly as a pup
- This is Sash when she was young, but not sure of her age on this pic.
And Poppy isn't really curly yet (at around 7-8 months) just a bit wavy:
So yeah? Pure Lakeland, or a mix? If so - a mix of what?
Do the curls appear as they get older?
Doesn't matter either way really, just interested.
