Positive peeing

Post by Shalista »

going to keep posting here to give myself some R+.

When i originally tried to potty train bax i had great difficulty finding treats that hit his sweet spot. everything was either so mind blowingly exciting he couldnt potty he wanted the treat so badly... or so boring that he wasn't interested in eating it after he pottied.

well NO MORE! He no officially greedily accepts his boring biscuits as compensation for an outside potty. up till now ive been just using praise, which frankly he could care less about but the treats he seems to really get. after the first few he's started whipping right around and coming trotting up for his treat before i even have it out of my pocket. PROGRESS!!!!!

(the one down side is that i have a sneaking suspicion that he's clipping his peeing so he can get to the treat sooner... which means he needs to potty more times to fully empty the tank)

Try rewarding every second pee, even if it is a 'pretend' one.
