First training yesterday
Hi all. We had our first formal training session yesterday with the good folks at Wag & Train, a Denver agency certified in the Positively method. It was brilliant! The trainer said Rose figured out the kitty puzzle toy faster than any dog she'd ever seen. (What can I say? It had food in it and everyone in our family loves food.) We learned how to work on touch, friend (the OH, at the moment-- she's still a bit scared of him, and we had to avoid the clicker during this part of the session because she seemed to think his hand was making that strange noise ), watch me, leave it, and sit. She did so well, and now we actually know what we're doing, so things should be a lot easier from here. We also Kong-fed Rose this morning, which she liked a lot.
