Lillo and the italian trainer Giorgio Guglielminotti

Post by Lillo »

We have discovered Giorgio Guglielminotti ,the “ italian version “ of Victoria Stilwell, through her web site and got immediately in touch with this wonderful world of the “positively “ training dog which we have ever preferred and loved above all.
When we first met Giorgio we were a little bit puzzled about his easy way to make You act towards our dog that left us confused on this choice, but actually it only took a few more hours together to understand his world and his way of thinking so in a moment we were enthusiastic of what we were doing. The reason why we called Giorgio it’s because our dog called “ Lillo “( he is 10 years old, he has lived in an open-air refuge for 6 years and then was subjected to mistreatment from two different adoptions, then the last adopter left him again to his refuge and that it would have been the last time someone took care of him. On that day, by chance, we had to keep this dog for a night and the morning after take him to this refuge…..and from then he’s with us. Lillo’s problems are his barking at home when the elevator moves or when the phone rings and worst of all when a stranger gets in to our house; those might seem normal or superficial reasons but the fact is that this barking won’t stop but continues for entire minutes and being a quite small house our ears and brains go mad every day. Giorgio took our case with all his heart and gave us lots of advices and suggestion in order to distract him and to keep his attention on something else so to reduce the barking and a bit his obedience. So time passed and the situation got better and better. Giorgio demonstrated to be helpful and willing every time we needed his help. Thanks to Giorgio we also discovered how many qualities our dog has .An outstanding energy; even if Lillo is 10 years old and it’s small with short paws, he is excellent in doing “agility training” with us !
Our best compliments to Giorgio and his wife together with their 3 dogs who incredibly work as teachers/trainers towards the other dogs, those are great and with Lillo, who doesn’t get along with dogs bigger than him, with them instead he is surprisingly happy , quiet and calm…his eyes show happiness and desire to play with us and with all Giorgio’s dogs. Should we have to recommend someone for any problem regarding dogs he is the right fellow.
