Here is something wonderful, there is a bill in congress currently up for consideration that would, if passed, allow pet owners tax deductions, up to $3,500.00 for pet expenses, this does not include the purchase or adoption fees for a pet, but does include veterinary care, food, and other necessities.
Hope we can all encourage our congressmen to vote YES for this bill.

Has anyone heard anymore about this bill?
Re: Bill introduced in Congress (US)
I received a letter from my congressman to let me know that the bill was put before the house ways and means committee for them to decide whether or not it should be voted on. So, once again I urge everyone to e-mail your congressional representative and let him/her know you want this bill to be passed.

Oh, wow, that would be so nice. Both my boys were adopted from the pound and we just got my MIL a pug from the SPCA a few weeks ago (see help healing a 4 yr old pug) He is doing much better now.
I know I could use the extra credit. With Ozzy being just diagnosed with sudden rage syndrome (which I am starting to think she misdiagnosed him) and Connors allergies to just about everything outside, the vet bills really add up, quick.

This would be great. Hope it makes it in to law.
I wished I was the person my dogs thinks I am.
