Re: Blue Buffalo
I agonized and agonized over food ... our girl Abby was not on decent food when we got her, and it showed. We eventually have made the switch to the Blue Buffalo grain free line, and so far, it's working well for us. I definitely lost sleep over what to feed our dogs, and from my experience, you can...

Re: Abby, Neo, and Dude
They do look alike, Flyby! His color does look unique! Neo has an extra whorl in her ridge, so it's not a thin line like others we've seen, but we just like to think she's special :). It almost looks like it's in the shape of a kitchen knife. I'll try to post a pic on photobucket. Excuse her ripping...

Re: Rhodesian pup chewing on herself
Thank you both. Flyby-We are definitely socializing her the best we can right now, and since she doesn't have all of her shots yet, that is limited to playing in the apartment with Abby, the Boxer, and meeting some kids outdoors when it's potty time. Like I said, we just moved across the country a f...

Re: My dog and the cat
I know this probably isn't too terribly helpful, but sometimes it helps to hear that someone else is in your shoes also..we just brought home an 11 week old puppy to our adult dog and 5 month old kitten, and we're having the same kinds of problems. I don't think puppy wants to hurt kitten, but she's...

Rhodesian pup chewing on herself
Hi everyone! So happy with the last responses that I got that I decided to post again and ask another question  Neo, our almost-11 week-old Rhodesian pup sometimes grabs ahold of her feet and bites them..not sure if this is normal. I assume it is just crazy puppy stuff, but just want to see wha...

Re: New puppy and 3 year old dog-several questions
Timeouts...we started them last night when Neo was playing too rough with the kitten, and I assume it's normal for them to look like they aren't working..? She just comes tearing back out of her timeout space wilder than she was before. I assume it will take many repetitions, but she will eventually...

Re: New puppy and 3 year old dog-several questions
Thank you all for the replies..I have a ton of pictures! I will upload them as soon as I can. My fiancee and I did a lot of research on Ridgebacks before we got Neo, and we want her to be a big girl! :) We did recently move to a new city so we don't know many people, and we live in an apartment, so ...

New puppy and 3 year old dog-several questions
Hello all! I'm new to the forum, but a long time dog owner. I'll apologize in advance for the long post, but I do want to be as detailed as possible so I can get the best advice :). My fiancee and I rescued a 3 year old Boxer about five months ago. She has been happily living in our apartment, basic...
