Re: 6 dogs that are never walked

I didn't see the other thread Yes that episode really wound me up, don't normally get that mad but having a multi dog household and knowing how much excercise is required just to keep things sane, that woman really made me mad. I think people can be forgiven for a lot of bad things with dogs, feedin...

Re: "Blended" Multi Dog households

We have a multi dog household. Its fab, to be honest it is massively hard work and instead of having one dog living with you, you end up living with them, as one as one of them and they do gang up on you. The training can be difficult, training individually and then together and from our experience ...

6 dogs that are never walked

This is a repeat on in the Uk, watching right now O MY GOD, this episode made me furious. 6 dogs squashed in a small house and NEVER WALKED!!!! Utter madness!! Never taken out and stacked in crates on top of each other and fed rubbish. I know that maybe I shouldn't be judgemental but how many excuse...

The mob strike again

The band of menaces got me again. I had been away for a couple nights visiting friends ( the dog unfriendly sort with emaculate houses and dull lives) I had done a bit of shopping, picked up supplies for them etc and some random goodies for myself etc. When I got home I snuck into the garden and sil...

Re: Over run with dogs

Angel894 that must have been heartbreaking to have to rehome your animals. They become such a big part of your life.

I don't think its sick at all to smile at the thought of so many dogs. I think its comforting. :D

Re: Over run with dogs

That would be so good to see. Mine on mass would go on the rampage like a pack of hounds!! There are 15 of them here at the moment and although they are really very good sometimes they wind each other up, kind of bounce off each other and that can have interesting affects. I did think about tying a ...

Re: Introducing Puppy To Resident Dogs

Hi, We try and get new dogs/pups intograted as soon as possible. We simply carry the pup/new dog into the house, let the others sniff it, once they've done that let it go with one, then add others gradually. Quite alot of adult dogs are scared of puppies, I think its their wiggling and over zealous ...

Re: piriton??

A vet told me it was ok to give piriton to a horse, but at doseage he said it would have been massively expensive.

Have you considered any of the herbal remedies?

Re: A found lurcher

The found dog has been to the vets today, 2 vets scanned her- no chips, have searched dog lost and have had a very distressing phone call from someone whose dog has been stolen :( It seems more and more likely that she has been dumped, is completly untrained and has probably never been walked on a l...

Meeting new people and not killing a guinnea pig

Po is a little bit shy, he isn't too bad and is certainly getting better but this weekend was a huge test of his progress. I went camping Saturday night with a group of people I was on expedition with. There was about 15 of us in total and a mixture of both dog people and non dog people. Po coped re...

Re: A found lurcher

I will call the local vets tomorrow morning, can't see any tattoos or chips and in smoothies you can generally feel them. She's a nice dog, don't think she has been associated with fox/badger killing types hasn't got the tell tale scars around her nose etc. She seems to have attached herself to my dad
