Re: Walking the dogs

If i have just Po with me then he is rarely on a lead and he mooches around in front of me. If I have him with the horses he is either trooting along at the side of them at the shoulder preferably but if he sees another dog he will hide alonside them, or i send him out in front depending on where we...

Re: Bramble doing some agility

Thanks guys, she loves her training- or the treats it provides  and she's pretty clever too. My sister is doing quite well with her.

She is great at the running/ jumping fun stuff but hasn't got much self control, she hasn't done her bronze citizen award yet. But sure it wont be long

Re: Dog rucksack

This is the one i looked at http://www.petsathome.com/shop/3-peaks-terrain-pack-dog-harness-30817 I was a bit concerned that Po being a lurcher it wouldn't fit because they look made for chunky dogs. Think I may be the 'pack horse' for sometime :( He would probably buck it off and rip it up anyway :...

Dog rucksack

I was in pets at home yestrday and saw some totally cool dog camping equipment. Some of it would be great. When I take Po and Alf we have all kind of issues with carrying stuff thats before the squashing into a tent and dealing with the wriggling, shuffling and bed scratching that goes on before pea...

Bramble doing some agility

My sisters dog training group have been having a go at agility. Its not a full course, but seems to be fun all the same. Here are some pics of Bramble enjoying the fun. http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h274/commelina/DSC_1087.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h274/commelina/DSC_1090.jpg http://...

Re: What is exercise?

With our lurchers, just running isn't enough. It is great for them to let off steam but alone does not give them the mental or physical stimulation they need. I think dogs need dog time. Time to just chill out and do dog things, interact with each other away from our intervention. In doggy time ours...

Re: Agility dogs unite!

I did a fair bit of agility training with Alf, he used to love all the fast jumpy bits but never quite got the hang of the weave poles, he struggled to fit throug the tunnel and didn't think much to the seesaw. But he enjoyed himself My sister is now starting agility with bramble who may turn out to...

Re: Callie is driving me nuts-I'm close to just giving up!(Long)

We gave the puppies things to destroy, they had a specific lust for toilet paper and once shredded a pack of 24, it looked like it had been snowing.

They seemed to enjoy themselves :D

But giving them stuff did atleast get them to leave my shoes alone.

Lottie's blushes

This is funnyish in a cruel kind of way and I think all you lady's on the forum will get why. A wasp has stung Lottie on her female parts. It has now swollen to the size a babboons bum. Poor little girl. Also Treacle found a dead, fox killed chicken at the chicken farm. It had been half eaten and la...
