Re: Ari's relatives are coming....
I'm not a member, but I once took Odin for a walk with the local Ridgeback owners club. 20+ Ridgebacks, all intact, all heading into the countryside, off the lead, and all strangers give or take. After a good 3 or 4 hours walk, there hadn't been one single scrap. It occurred to me there is something...

All that's missing is a little Pippin down below getting drooled on.

Re: An Otter.
Yes, it's video. I thought it was just a link I was posting and didn't expect the preview pic.
Think I'll stick to YouTube for vids... (This is on photobucket).

Tickles me when people ask me how I make the ridge in Odin's back.

Re: Vent!
The benefit hoodlums are people on benefits who can afford quadbikes and fuel to muck around on them all day wrecking green areas a footpaths while some of us have to work for a living. Apart from anything else, I can get fined £200 if i don't pick up a little bit of dog mess, but seems you can wrec...

Re: Vent!
Summer is on the way. The benefit hoodlums with quadbikes are back tearing up the paths, and neds were chucking stones at the swans today. Sometimes you can be so ashamed of people from your own country. Sometimes I think that all towns should have one of those big glass domes which Springfield had ...

Re: Adoption (not dogs this time!)
I'm a little curious about the decision to forego having your own kids when you can, in favour of adopting kids. I think you need to sit down and nail exactly what is it about having your own kids that puts you off having them. I really don't mean it to sound heartless, but which is your primary dri...

Re: Superhuman abilities of dog owners
Before I got Odin, I lived in a pretty rough area. Cars were often damaged, bottles were broken from drunks heading home or having fights, the Housing Association didn't maintain their empty properties to the windows stayed broken and lights stayed dark. There were a lot of druggies around. Contrary...

For a name
"... Just Walking the Dog".
Even comes with a 1965 theme tune. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6AZNywvF-s
EDIT: Woops. Googled it and somebody beat you to it.

Re: Please help!!!!
It's a tough call Vanessa, but your priority has to be the welfare of your kids. Period. However, that's the easy call, and it's afterwards where it gets difficult. Have you thought about manufacturing your own fostering conditions? Say retaining full ownership of the dog, meeting the cost of feedin...

Re: Submissive grin or no?
My take on the first video is that the dog will eventually snap and then be wracked with guilt for doing so, and less confident by degrees, and more prone to snap again in future. Just leave him alone you clown. Your dog justs wants to trust you and you make it so very difficult for him. The second ...

Re: Dog had a Seizure
Keep the faith Huffy123. Give it some time for the vets to work out what is wrong before upsetting yourself. Some dogs have seizures which can be controlled with medications, and you need to see what transpires. Where are you (what country?) and if you can't afford treatment have you tried the RSPCA...

Re: The Funnies Thread...
It's one of these videos you see something different every time. My instinctive reaction (with no longer thought process the real time video), was it was like the behaviour of fainting goats, but not THE behavior of fainting goats. The dog flops, which looks like playful submission to my eye, assume...
