Re: problems biting legs when outside
I agree to try shorter more frequent walks. 3/4 /5 10-15 mt walks will manage it better for now. Also try to do little 5 mt heeling walks a few times a day. the more experiences she has w/o getting to that level will set her up for proper walking & eventually going back to longer walks 2x a day....

Re: Excited Peeing
Continue with bringing him out to potty just prior to guests arriving. Also when you come him do not acknowledge him other than leashing him up & taking him out. Are you sure you are not encouraging him with love /praise/lots of eye contact/ high pitched voice or anything that would raise his le...

Re: Double Trouble
Can u tire the little bugger out a bit in the house (or do u have a yard) before you take him out? Play a little fetch, have him run around doing something to burn off some steam When he is tuckered then try to leash him. Also you should start doing impulse control games with him---many threads here...

Re: OCD Tail Chasing
Maybe his kennel is too big thus giving him room to spin--kennels should only be big enough to stand & turn around. Just a thought... Also try spraying a little lavendar on the underside of his bed/pillow. It is know to have a calming effect. but too much can be overwhelming so spray the undersi...

Re: 6 month ultimatum - HELP!
To get dog out from under a bed or room you should try target training. VS showed this on one of the episodes. Teach dog just to touch your hand or a target stick (any stick with red pom pom on end) with its nose, and when he does, treat & praise say" good touch! " He will soon underst...

Re: Bones to clean canine teeth
The concern is about COOKED chicken bones, not raw. I give my boy raw chicken bones, never a problem or concern, On the rare occassion he has stolen a cooked bone but thank god nothing happened.

keep him on a leash. It can be a very long one. When he sees the dead thing reel him in.
