Re: Lickety stik

That is awful expensive. An idea just came to me but am not sure if it would work. The roll on canister seems to be very similar to a roll-on deodorant container. I wonder if one of those could be used (reused) for the same licking purpose. I am not sure if those containers can be opened & washe...

ducks!

We have ducks in our neighborhood as I live in So FL. One day last week Max was loose(with leash dragging behind him) & he caught a duck had it pinned down & nuzzled his snout between the feathers & was nibbling the poor creature. I was able to quickly get him off the duck. Boy was he pi...

Lickety stik

Here is a new lickable treat for dogs. it was on one of those morning news shows (GMA or something)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yeFNm2rgwGI

Has anyone bought/tried it before?

I am going to buy/try soon. It looks great & has hardly any calories. I'm sure Max will love it.

Decreased interest in playing with other dogs

Hi Gang: I've been missing in action for a while but here I am. For the past 6 months or so I've noticed that Max doesn't play with other dogs as much as he used to at the park. Just a few days ago his yellow lab girlfriend (His mistress) came to the park after a long absence & he barely pd atte...

Re: Dottie's Snarky Again

Well maybe instruct the boys to just give a few strokes when she comes for lovin & & lv her wanting more. It might be a noise she hears, or a shadow she sees & not necessarily the overdose of love who knows for sure, but if she gets smaller doses & has more time to adjust her snarkin...

Re: Chase it toy

Also called a 'flirt pole' or fox on a stick' it can also be handmade very easily. Tell hubby flirt poles are used as a reward for police, military or bomb sniffing dogs. It satisfies their need to chase w/o actually killing another animal. It burns off energy, stress. Its all good!

maybe you can give murph a stinky baby onesie or blankie to sleep with so he can get used to the new scents.

Re: But I don't want to go out...

To get dog from under the bed you will need to teach target training either with your hand or a short stick with a little ball or pom pom on the end. Start by sticking hand or stick near dog's face & when he touches with nose treats & praise. after about 10 successful touches say the word &q...

Re: Keeping Dogs Cool

The way dogs cool themselves naturally is to get their paws in water. So get a small pool put it in a shady area, and let them go in/out as they please.

Re: Puppy

Put the puppy in the bedroom next to you in her crate. Theres no reason for her to be so far from you at her young age. Follow the suggestions of keeping space small & having a blanket, old t shirt with your scent on it, or better yet her mothers. Can you give a blanket to the mother to sleep on...

Re: Help! In-laws dog is a huge wall between us!

I never said the dog was 'naughty." Ladybug. Yes I get that the dog is scared or nervous and just may generally have bad manners but my point is that its up to the owner, ( the M-I-L) is the one to correct the problem . I suggested to OP to make suggestions to her M-I-L that's all And the reaso...

Re: Help! In-laws dog is a huge wall between us!

Well the best solution is to not go over there anymore & tell your mthr in law why. She can come over to your house or meet in a neutral place. There no reason you (or anyone else) should be subject to the ill behaved dog's mauling everytime. It is up to M-I-L to train her dog or manage her by p...
