Re: Dog pooping during sleep

I have read some interesting articles about cases of under developed pelvic muscles after tail docking. They state that the reports are not conclusive, but that could be an additional reason. If his sphincter is not as developed as it should be then it is likely that when sleeping (and more relaxed)...

Re: Dog pooping during sleep

*UNFORUNATELY* he is docked. I really don't like it. He has 3 vertebraes after the base... It certainly is not as short as other schnauzers I have seen.

Could this be why?

Re: Raw food diet? yea or nay?

I started reading it some and that is exactly what I have been thinking about... maybe one meal a deal on raw food.

More decisions to make. I have to admit... picturing him attacking a whole egg entertains my imagination!

Re: Dog pooping during sleep

We always go out with him because we are still struggling to get him to come back in without DIGGING EVERYWHERE before coming in a muddy mess. He usually has his BM right after breakfast and on the afternoon walk. Maybe a 20 minute before bedtime walk is in order. The first time it happened he had f...

Raw food diet? yea or nay?

To feed a raw food diet... or not to feed a raw food diet?

I want to know some DISadvantages along with the advantages.

My husband thinks it's odd and gross... I'm wondering if it wouldn't be a good idea.

Re: treating Uri in 3 week old puppy

I try to be holistic with my pup too but I'd say give the little guy the antibiotics. If it's an infection then the puppy needs it.

Re: Dog pooping during sleep

1 year. Schnauzer/Yorkie Mix. Neutered male. I read one article that suggested that the dog might be passing gas. That would certainly explain why it happens in his sleep... his bum is relaxed and everything, and it's a little nugget. He always goes out before bedtime. I mostly worry because he gets...

Dog pooping during sleep

I know this is a little odd. Our dog occasionally poops a little bit in his sleep. He's done this during the day once and now during night time twice. I know it happens when he's asleep because he did this while sleeping in our bed both times. Last night we were up reading and he was sleeping... nex...

Re: To cover crate or not to cover crate?

Thank you! I was just thinking that the blanket will not work because he would chew it up. I'll look for a sturdy rug!!! That should work nicely. :)

Re: two dogs

My parents have an 85 pound German shepard and my little 19 pound dog LOVES to play with. Panzer ends up slimmest but they play HARD for hours and hours. We ended up with a very happy and VERY exhausted dog for a couple days. Was pretty funny really. The best part, they get to play as rough as the o...

To cover crate or not to cover crate?

Here is the situation and frustration... Situation: Panzer out grew his old crate so I bought a wire Midwest crate. Now it needs a new cover. Frustration: 1. The Midwest cover was a piece of junk. Needs to be returned. 2. I spent an afternoon making a really nice (I thought) cover complete with ties...

Re: Cesar Millan's Statistics of Tools/Methods

Unlike Ian Dunbar and Patrica McConnell who are behaviorists. CM is a self glorified trainer. He lacks the education and only has his own ego standing in his way of fully changing. He is not even in their league. His comments are nothing more than the regurgitation of his interpretation of other's ...

I use Picasa through Google. To post the picture I right click on the picture of my dog and click on "Copy image location" and use that link.

Works perfect. :)
