Re: Pet corrector spray

Thanks guys. It was advertised on petadvisor.com i think as a training aid. Get your dog to stop barking kind of thing. I guess it seems less harsh than the sonic noise thing. I just happened to look at it b/c my pom is a barking fool even tho he has a trach problem so it makes him cough more. Its t...

Re: luxating patellas

I had wondered if we could come up with some sort of brace or contraption that would let him walk and do his business but not let him be all crazy and jumpy. Any ideas?

luxating patellas

Hi everybody. Its been awhile since I have been on here, the baby keeps me busy. However, Zippy, my "problem" dog, now has to have surgery to fix his knee. I have known for while that he has this problem, it was found while examining him for his collapsing trach. It never really bothered h...

Re: Venting about.. Everything.

Does anybody know if diahrrea (sp?) is a sign of the body shutting down? One of my cats, pretty sure its the diabetic one, has had the runs (cause I can't spell the other word) twice today and I am scared that it might be the beginning of the end for him. I can't get either of the vets on the phone ...

Re: Venting about.. Everything.

It was a 2nd vet who diagnosed him. I had to take him somewhere else to have the surgery b/c they needed to use a laser. So it wasn't the old crappy vet this time. Although she is the one who has seen him 2x now and has said his glucose was just his b/c he was stressed. She couldn't find any reason ...

Venting about.. Everything.

Hi guys. I just needed to vent somewhere where people might understand insted of thinking I'm crazy. I know this is a dog board, but I need to vent about cats too. Last week I took my 14 yr old cat to the vet after he peed on my table (gross) b/c I knew something had to be wrong. They did blood work...

Re: Tiny dogs and toddlers

I am soooo imagining teaching the dogs to fetch a diaper  That would be great, and handy too! I am planning on breastfeeding, for all of the reasons that were listed. But also b/c having the baby in a bassinet next to the bed I can grab him and kind of stay propped up in bed while feeding. I th...

Re: Tiny dogs and toddlers

Im sure this baby is already quite used to hearing the dogs bark  That will be a good thing though. My house is never quiet so its good for him to be used to it right off the bat. I have to share this with you guys. I am on an online birthboard and one the ladies was asking about having both he...

Tiny dogs and toddlers

Hi guys! As some of you know I am expecting my first 2 legged baby in July. I have 3 dogs, Jake Jade and Zippy. I have been working with them in the last few months with training and such, and am mostly confident that everything will be ok with dogs and baby. But as the baby gets older I worry about...

Thanks ladies! I don't know if you guys remember me talking about his cage and anxiety issues, but this past week we have had a huge sucess with the cage part too! Over the past 6 months he has gradually gotten better about going into his cage. He would eat his pb from the kong before he would bark ...

Re: Zippy's trachea..

Hello everyone! Good news to report. Its been a couple of weeks now since Zippy has been on all this medicine and he has only had one day where he coughed more than once or twice. This past Sat he coughed several times but even then it was not nearly as hard or harsh as it had been. I didnt figure o...

Thanks ladies!! It was so nice to be able to post good news for once. :D Now I'm off to enjoy a few chocolates and a non alcoholic beer just cause a beer sounds soooo good right now, and its just too hard to fight the craving.
