Re: Suggest an exercise plan

Thanks wufwuf i reposted above. I have experience of unwanted difficult dogs but not springers. Generally im at home a lot but my health is not fab so i would be dealing with the mental stimulation more than the physical side.

Re: New Shelter Dog. I may be in over my head.

It sounds like you are already well set up and its just a case of shaping boundaries until pup settles. Typical about him killing the chew toy  . . I find with any of our new additions (i rescue/foster) it can generally just take time for them to settle in and learn the rules. Can you ...

Re: New Shelter Dog. I may be in over my head.

Hi You havent had him long so chill dont panic yet. First call i reckon would be vets to check he doesnt have something wrong with him with regards to the peeing. Have you got the chewy kong things or treat balls you could try giving him those to distract him when you need peace. You say he chews wh...

Re: Lupus diet

Somebody suggested feeding him venison??? Would that be worth a try? Should he be on a high or low protein diet or is it just tri...

Re: Ex-fighting foster dog

Im inclined to agree with the above answers im afraid (sorry). If it was just a case of unsocialised i would say it would probably be possible to train him out of it but as this dog is an ex fight dog (i would imagine thats why it goes in for kill rather than growl a warning to) i wouldnt risk your ...

Hi You may or may not remember i rescued a Ute, Harry last year and he was diagnosed with lupus in the first few weeks of me having him (prob part of the reason he was discarded) anyway although he is doing well and has fingers crossed only had two flare ups, treated with steroids etc, i had been th...
