Re: American cocker spaniels

Hi Debbie, Thanks for the reply, you may have just persuaded me towards an ACS rather than getting another cocker :) My main concerns were about grooming and temperament but I'll be doing my homework when the time is right. I've already e-mailed a breeder in Blackpool who may have pups later in the ...

American cocker spaniels

Does anyone have any experience of having an ACS. I have had cocker spaniels in the past (English ) and they are great dogs, but have met someone with an ACS and it was just lovely. Unfortunately it wasn't the owner and they couldn't tell me much about it, they also had an English golden cocker span...

Re: US pet shop choice

The lead I have now is a black webbing lead, about 100inches long and has a trigger clip at each end a d ring near 1 end to make a handle and another d ring in the middle of the lead to shorten it, it's really handy depending on what training you are doing. This place does a leather one at a quite r...

US pet shop choice

I searched for a new police style lead and collar for Charlie and some of the sites that came up were from the US. How lucky are you folk there, the choice was amazing. I had a choice of two colours in an item here, the same thing over there came in about 6 choices (not that Charlie cares really :) ...

Re: Clicker Training - Heres How!

I liked the video in Emmabeth's post and really liked it. Is the trainer using a special clicker, I couldn't see her click and she seemed to be able to use both hands. One of the problems I found when I tried clicker training was handling a clicker, lead, food treats, poo bags etc on a walk. The oth...

Re: Skunks

Like Emmabeth and Mattie I had to look up Javalinas, never heard of them either.
No wonder your dogs were barking! Here we only have to worry about cats and foxes at night, so not so bad :)

Re: Golden Retrievers

Hi there, I have a 3yr old golden retriever and he has a fantastic nature. He's quite laid back and get bossed around by the cat :)
He is also the messiest dog I have ever had and can find a muddy puddle anywhere, luckily he loves getting a bath and being groomed.
He's been a great family dog.

Re: RECIPES: For Kongs, Meals, Treats, Snacks, and Food Toppings

I have to thank Dogzrule as I tried the simple biscuit recipe and Charlie loved it :D
It's great that I know what is going in his food, and I'll be making them again soon.
