Re: Housetrained dog eliminating in the house again- how to respond?

Thanks for all the help everyone!! I've had Bindi for a year now. I've never felt like I could reliably leave her inside for more than a few hours, but for the most part, I'd say she was housetrained. She did have an accident every once and awhile still, but this was probably the most all in a row s...

Housetrained dog eliminating in the house again- how to respond?

Hi all! My 1-yo corgi Bindi has recently gone to the bathroom in the house multiple times within the last two weeks. I don't think it's because of some health condition. It kinda seems like she a) doesn't see why she can't eliminate in the house (as in, since we maybe haven't given a reason not to, ...

Re: Aggression between our dogs?

Thank you for the reply! If I was going to name the most likely cause of it, I'd say resource guarding. It seems to happen when they both want the same toy or the same attention from one of us, that sort of thing. But I also remember times when Brownie would be near Bindi- like maybe sniffing/lickin...

Re: Food to help with shedding?

Thanks everyone!!

And lol, I understand the corgi thing too. :) My dog Bindi is a Pembroke corgi. . . she sheds her fair share too! My brother's dog, the GSD/ACD mix, sheds even more though. So thanks for the advice!

Aggression between our dogs?

Hi! I have a 1-yo corgi named Bindi, and my brother has a 2-yo GSD/ACD mix named Brownie, both female. They've always gotten along great and they play all the time. Several months ago, however, Bindi started showing aggression towards Brownie. As far as we could tell, it was totally random. It was r...

Food to help with shedding?

Hi!
Our GSD/ACD mix sheds like crazy. She's currently getting Whole Earth Farms Grain Free food. (http://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore ... y-dog-food)
And ideas on foods that will help with shedding, and that aren't much more than a dollar a pound?
Thanks!

Thank you! I really appreciate all the help!

And Nettle, as far as other people/animals in the house- there's my parents and my two older brothers, my brother's dog, our cat, and a couple gerbils. :)

Re: Aggression in my dog, what caused it and how do I handle it?

Thank you everyone! This has been really helpful! Bindi does already know "leave it" and sort of knows "drop it," so I'll keep working on that one. I am still a little confused just because, like JudyN said, she doesn't make any other displays of food anxiety. In fact it's my bro...

Re: Aggression in my dog, what caused it and how do I handle it?

Thank you both so much for the help! That does make sense to me, and I'd be happy to apply it. I'm kind of worried that my family will think that's just 'encouraging' a bad behavior though. Could I do that as well as try a similar approach of teaching her that the only way she gets food is from me o...

Aggression in my dog, what caused it and how do I handle it?

Hi! New here. :) I have a 1-yo corgi, named Bindi. This morning, I was holding a treat that I was about to give her, when my brother came up from behind and was petting her back. She whirled around and snapped at him. As an experiment, my dad did the same thing (pet her back while she was watching t...
