When I was a kid someone tryed to kidnap me. I got away but to my knowledge the guy never got caught. Throughout my childhood it was something that affected me drastically. I have come a long way and since I got Belgian I have been able to become more confident. He is the reason I have no fear of wa...

Thanks. I know myself I also have issues when walking around in city surroundings as a result of something that happened in my past. Since then I have never been too much of a city girl myself. I have always felt safe around Belgian when walking anywhere. Without him, I am very skittish. I am howeve...

Doesn't walk well in a noisy enviorment.
My 7 year old Chocolate Labrador Retriever Belgian is great on his leash for the most part. Where I live it is pretty quiet and there are alot of owners and dogs who walk every night. He has never had a problem with cars or anything. There are many kids where we walk and he ignores them unless they ...

I personally love Petsmart. To Belgian, Petsmart is doggy Disneyland. He goes crazy once we get into the parkinglot. I don't mind it because there is alot of variety there for me to choose from and the staff at the one I go are very friendly and always ask to give Belgian a treat and if they can pet...

I started crate training when Belgian first walked through my door. He has never been stressed out in it and prefers to be in it. He no longer needs it but if I bring it back out, he is more then happy to sleep in it. I never even close the door. He just walks in and goes to sleep. Recently I used h...

Because I live in CA I went and read the bill that was going to pass requiring all dogs and cats to be neutered/spayed before the age of four months ( I believe) I read that some breeds, especially rottweilers, are prone to having severe side effects toward early neutering and many people do not fix...

Where can I find full episodes
Animal Planet used to have them online available and as I am busy usually I never get to watch the show. My DVR hasn't been working and not only that I need the people to move the dishes to as they are not in the right spot and the HOA doesn't want them where they are at. I also have to have the int...

I find this topic interesting because my neighbor's English Bull Terrier does this along with tail chasing all the time. He also prances then spins out of control and once he goes inside it is running up the steps and chasing tail. He is a funny dog but especially when going up the steps having him ...

A difference between Cesar and Victoria, is his use of his own dogs (The Power of the Pack) to help influence and teach the owner's dogs. I don't remember seeing Victoria's dog on her show. Yes but if I read correctly Victoria's dog has some issues with dogs of her own that are getting better. I be...

Ckranz- In my case many people have already formed comlaints and many of us have already talked to the owners. However our animal control sucks and they do not see this as a problem. Someone is going to try the HOA if the neighbors don't train the dog. I am not filling out anything to the HOA for a ...

I have the same problem. My neighbors however do not see the problem with their dogs. The have a staffordshire who isn't well socialized and jumps up the 6 foot fence where half of his body is visible. He isn't well socialized with humans or dogs and I fear one of these days poor Belgian will get it...

Thanks Mattie I will p-mail you in a little bit. I got to do some work today and have to get off lol. I sit with Belgian and keep him close to me and just stroke him until the vet calls him in. He seems fine ( sometimes) when he is close to me. The problem is that I am not allowed in the backroom an...

Wow I hope I do not get in trouble for bumping this back up. When I made it it did not work so I gave up and never searched for it. Well their dogs are now constantly barking and howling in the garage and Belgian just looks at me. I am proud of my boy and I realize you know he is going to make his m...

If canine good citizen is the highest level of OB required then I would agree, you can most likely train any dog with treats, clickers and coercion. I do have a question. Why are you posting on a site that primarily uses reward based training? The majority of trainers here do not follow correction ...
