Your (Dog) Blogs?
I wondered if any of you kept blogs about your pooch(es), their training, progress, etc?
If so, I'd love to know about it!
(I did a search on topics but nothing came up )
Thanks,
Jenny.

Re: Cries to go out, then 'forgets' she needs to pee!
Thanks for the advice :) She's mostly got into the habit of crying to go out now - and we've started using just one cue "do your business" - which is a bit less silly! Once I actually get her attention and she's looking at me, I can tell her to do her business and she pretty much goes off ...

Re: RECIPES: For Kongs, Meals, Treats, Snacks, and Food Toppings
Hello folks! I've been enjoying all these Kong ideas - currently I stuff with kibble and 'plug' the top with some no added salt organic peanut butter (and a wee chunk of apple if it's handy :)) I notice there have been a lot of suggestions for canned pumpkin but unfortunately, here in Manchester, su...

Re: Cries to go out, then 'forgets' she needs to pee!
Hi there! You say that you use cues - have you reinforced it the second she does it so she has made that link between the cue and the action? Hi! Yep, I have been standing by saying "Go peepee!" or "Go poopoo!" while she does it (should I use the same cue for both?) then strokes...

Re: Vegan dog food?
In this case, it falls under abuse (in my opinion) because it's imposing our belief system onto a creature that it's not designed for. Therefore, when we feed our carnivorous dogs a vegan diet, we aren't feeding them what we think is best for them , we're feeding them what we think is best for us b...

Re: Vegan dog food?
Can a dog live on a vegan diet? I suppose so. Just like humans can live on nothing but fast food. But are either thriving? Are either going to be at their optimum, health-wise? Will either live as long, as healthy, as vital as they could on a proper diet for each? Not very likely. I think it's impo...

Re: Vegan dog food?
I have to say that a lot of the standard commercial dog food ingredients absolutely horrify me! They are so often full of junk and mystery ingredients - "meat AND animal derivatives" is an ingredient that makes me run a mile........ Um, what's the difference? :? My pup is eating an organic...

Cries to go out, then 'forgets' she needs to pee!
We've only had our rescue pup for 5 days or so, she's around 4 months old. We've had almost impeccable housetraining so far, but it seems as she settles in and becomes more comfortable, she's getting more excitable. Last night she cried to go outside a couple of times - I took her into the garden an...

Re: Hi from Manchester !
Hi Jenny and welcome! :) You are doing all the right things. Your pup is lucky to have found you. As a trainer, it makes me so happy to hear you did your research and reading up on training. It is also impressive how you took time off work to help your new pup settle in. You are already a great pet...
