Re: Success and a million new questions
Ah dammit! :D :D Thanks Nettle, I know she'll never have friends, and I'm ok with that (but you couldn't have a word with my mother could you......!) I guess I was just hoping that there would come a time when I didn't have to be thinking two steps ahead about a route, or a jingle (is that a collar?...

Success and a million new questions
Hi everyone - we have had some huge successes in the last month and need some of your fab advice how to keep the momentum. Recap - Trinity is our 2yo GSD with fear aggressive behaviour towards other dogs. We walk her away from dogs where possible, and put her on the lead around other dogs, she is re...

Proud Mum Alert!
Its pretty windy here this morning, so I didn't hear a very fast moving dog approaching from behind. Trinity had just dropped her ball for me to re-throw. As I bent down, the dog ran past my face between us. Her ears went forward but she didn't lunge or bite, her hackles barely came up too. Think ou...

Moving House
Hi guys, Not been here for a while as subject suggests have been preparing house to go on market! We are nowhere near moving yet, but wonder what are the general thoughts on what to "do" with a dog on moving day. As a re-cap, Trinity is 21 mo old GSD, with some fear aggression towards othe...

Re: Fun games to play with German Shepherd
Not a super-experienced owner here :) but our German Shepherd loves veggies! Maybe you could try some carrots, cucumber or brocolli as training treats, especially if they're not part of his normal diet, shouldn't have thought they would add to itchiness - no expert maybe you could have a little look...

Sorry - have to brag about my girl!
On Sunday we took our GSD Trinity and the 3 children to a country park not far from home. After a nice walk we started to make our way back to the car. It became immediatedly apparent that there was some sort of Husky meet and on the only path back to the car we had to pass..... 2 seperate teams of ...

Thoughts please on "teenager" in GSD development terms.
Hi all Our gorgeous GSD (female, spayed) is now 17 months old. She has had a few fear agression issues in the past which are still a work in progress but are much better than before. Over the last few weeks she's become a little disobedient. No huge big things just when she's asked to do things, she...

Update on Trinity (GSD who bit another dog)
Well its been about a month since I posted, thanks for the replies, tips and advice; I think we are getting to a better place. :) We have found a new route to school which takes about an extra 5 mins (much less than I thought it would) and means we meet about 95% fewer dogs, and none are hidden behi...
