Re: Introducing Pascal!
He is cute as a button! :D My nephew has a lab named Sidney (after Sidney Crosby), so I love the theme of naming your dog's after players! (I'm also a huge Pittsburgh Penguin's fan! We moved south 15 year ago, but we still support our "home" team Steelers and Penguins!! :D ) I'm looking f...

Re: Possessive Dog and a new puppy! A few questions
Adding on. Pascal was laying on the bed directly behind me and Geno came in. They lay on the bed together a lot, and I am like...12 inches away from the bed. I'm not sure what it was over, but Geno snarled at snapped at Pascal. He didn't bite him, but Pascal was crying really loudly. Is Geno just tr...

Introducing Pascal!
My husband and I adopted an 8 week old lab puppy last week. We decided he needed another Pittsburgh Penguins name to match his brother Geno, so we went with Pascal. He is definitely a handful, but so adorable! Sweet boy at the park. He hasn't had shots yet (the vet can't get us in until the 11th, so...

Possessive Dog and a new puppy! A few questions
Hello! I'm back again! You have all been wonderfully helpful in regards to my almost 4 year old lab mix Geno. My husband returned from deployment in July and he and Geno have been best buds. We have had no aggression issues and things have been great. We recently moved into a house with a huge...

Re: My husband is returning from deployment
Geno sleeps in a kennel outside of the bedroom. Originally we tried to let him have range of the apartment at night, but that turned into a lot of destroyed items. Someone had previously suggested putting the kennel in our room, but I really don't know if that would work with Geno. I am fairly certa...

My husband is returning from deployment
Hello again! I have posted a few times about my crazy rescue dog, Geno. I going to copy and paste my previous post since it has post of the information you may need. Hello! I have posted on here before about my dog, Geno, but not recently as we were doing pretty well. I will give you a bit of backgr...

Re: What do you think my rescue dog is?
Ugh, yes, the nails are a constant battle. He will absolutely not let me near his feet with ANYTHING except my hands, and I can't hold him all by myself. With his bite history I don't particularly want someone else to have to help me with this. He recently had them cut at the vet, these pictures are...

Re: Dog bit my new husband (novel, lots of info inside!)
A bit more information just in case it is needed! Geno is as smart as a whip and INCREDIBLY food motivated. We use clicker training and he knows sit, shake, "other" shake, lay down, sit pretty, spin around, "get out of the kitchen!", stay (we use wait, but same thing), get it, an...

Re: Geno...with eyebrows
His ears are sooooo soft. The rest of him is kind of coarse, that sticky pointy lab coat, but I love his ears. I always tell him I am going to chop them off and cuddle with them.
We call his freckles his "naughty spots"! I like to kiss them!

What do you think my rescue dog is?
The best I have come up with is a Labrador crossed with an English Setter, but I don't really know. I am pretty much certain on the Lab part, as I grew up with one and he definitely sheds like a Lab. (THE HAIR IS EVERYWHERE!!!) But I am not certain on what else he could be! I don't know anything abo...

Geno...with eyebrows
Don't worry, these were drawn on with a non-toxic marker and I didn't harm my dog! This is what happens when my husband deploys and I find myself with too much free time on my hands. https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/72143_10101254189960203_108083537_n.jpg And then just a few more because ...

Dog bit my new husband (novel, lots of info inside!)
Hello! I have posted on here before about my dog, Geno, but not recently as we were doing pretty well. I will give you a bit of background because Geno is important to me and I want to do what is right. My roommate and I adopted Geno in December of 2011. He was a two year old lab mix who came from t...

Re: There's squirrels in them there trees....
Better than Geno. If he sees a squirrel and it goes up a tree, he runs in circles around the base of the tree. I think he thinks that they just vanish. For a smart dog he can be a little dim sometimes.

Re: My Monster
He isn't much of a lunger, if he sees a rabbit or a horse he usually stops....then does this hilarious stalking thing where he kind of looks like a cat. He is a jumper, but doesn't jump when he is wearing the gentle leader.
I think he is a handsome devil too, I like showing him off!
